Gaye Tiplady will miss Woodlands Park School.
She's spent 13 years there, including 11 as principal, and is now off to Dubai where she will teach at an international school for two years.
"I call it an extended working holiday," Miss Tiplady says.
She plans to travel to neighbouring countries during the school breaks.
But it might take a little getting used to because she hasn't been teaching since she got the top job at Woodlands.
Leaving will also be tough.
"The hardest thing to leave is the strong community spirit," she says.
Another thing that has kept her at the school so long is the staff.
"It's a lovely place to work."But I feel the time is right for me now."
Miss Tiplady found out about the job through a recruitment seminar.
She is looking forward to the experience.
"I've heard a lot of good things about Dubai."It will be a rich experience."
