Murray Sackey has always wanted to do his own version the Gilbert and Sullivan opera, Patience. Now he's getting to do just that.
The Kelston boys High School production, Impatience, will be performed from August 21 to 23. Mr Sackey, the school's music director, says he modernised the classic tale - to a point.
"The whole message is the same,"he says. Director Brad Mihaljevich says the roles are demanding but the students are disciplined and dedicated. The production includes a cast of about 40 students from Kelston Boys and the nearby Kelston Girls College.
"It's a teen relationship comedy where the humour is at face value," Mr Mihaljevich says.
