Children from the Hilltop, Immanuel Christian, Oaklynn Special , Kaurilands, May Rd and St Dominics schools helped plant native trees and shrubs at Wingate Reserve in Avondale last Wednesday.

Their efforts were part of the Lynnmall 1+1= tree promotion, giving youngsters a chance to learn a little more about conservation.

The initiative was supported by the charitable trust Gecko NZ.
