Dom girls win stage challenge

Beauty doesn't bring happiness.

That was the theme behind the winning routine performed by St Dominic's College pupils at the Auckland Supre Stage Challenge

The team of 115 girls won top award.

Teacher Sheila Boddington says the students chose the story of Helen of Troy to characterise their theme. They used dance and drama to bring the tale to life.

"They were thrilled with their win," Mrs Boddington says.

The Supre Stage Challenge was filmed for television and will be screened over six episodes on TV2 from August 11.
