Looking for a safe cycle route to and from Henderson Intermediate School?
Just ask Charlie Tseng and Brandon Wyatt.
The pair have won first and second place in a competition to map out the safest route from their homes to school.
Charlie spent 12 hours drawing a map and identifying potential hazards while Brandon used his computer skills to produce his entry.
Charlie won a $500 voucher from Avanti and Brandon got $50.
Jenny Tanner from the Auckland Regional Transport Authority says Henderson Intermediate has the most student cyclists in Waitakere city.
The Lincoln-Rathgar suburb is also home to several other schools that are part of a programme aimed at getting them thinking about safer and more sustainable forms of transport.
