Water-wise message from St Dominics
Up to 70 school children are working on a mural showcasing creeks and streams throughout Waitakere city.
Students from St Dominic's College have finished their part of the artwork and kids at Birdwood Primary are about to complete theirs.
The mural is being put together as part of Project Twin Streams, a council backed scheme aimed at restoring and maintaining waterways.
"It's a message from the children to look after our streams," spokeswoman Janet Holt.
The mural will be blessed on December 11 at Birdwood School.
