Julia Thompson and Isaac Rayner, both 18. love the new Science block at henderson High.
And they reckon it might get more pupils interested in taking the subject.
"It;s refreshing," says Isaac. "It's like getting a new present."
Joshua Fernandes, 17, agrees.
He says students are proud of the block with all of its xtra resources and are keen to learn more.
The modern building features two full laboratoires and four classrooms.
Deputy principal Peter Coddington says the block is the first complete new building built at the school since the gymnasium was built in 1974.
"The design revolves around concepts of adaptability and flexibility, where learning space is maximised, and spaces can be interlinked or separated as required in providing for the innovative teaching of a number of science disciplines," he says.
The school has a roll of 980.
