Children at Flanshaw Road Primary School are going public with a message to look after the environment.
The Te Atatu South students are putting on a show from September 18 to 20 as part of an ongoing relationship with Project Twin Streams.
The play, Taonga, encourages people to care for and protect streams and waterways in Wai-takere city.
Project Twin streams is a council-sponsored initiative that involves a number of volunteer groups.
Members weed river banks and replant them with native trees and shrubs.
The school is an avid supporter.
"This year we've been planting at nearby Sherwood Park and learning how to keep our streams clear," teacher Anne Lowe says.
