Arahoe joins in West Auckland clean up

Children from Arahoe School are joining in a city-wide effort to tidy up west Auckland.

Operation Spring Clean is being held this month and involves volunteers fron all walks of life.Included are groups of school children are out picking up rubbish in their own neighbouhoods.

Teacher Kathryn Murray says gloves, bags and wastebins have been provided by the Keep Waitakere Beautiful Trust and the Waitakere City Council.."It's to give the children a social conscience," she says.
