Matipo kids take on rubbish challenge

Kids at the Matipo Primary School love their coastal environment.
So no one minded when their teachers took them out to collect rubbish off the nearby Harbour View Beach Reserve in Te Atatu Peninsula.
Their trip complemented classroom lessons about the sea and could lead to more regular clean-ups in the future.
