Bags of fun for Kaurilands students

The fight against childhood obesity is jumping to a new level.

Children at several west Auckland schools are enjoying good old-fashioned sack races as part of a promotion aimed at keeping them healthy and active.

The races are being held at the Kaurilands, New Lynn, Arahoe and Green Bay schools this month.

Kaurilands assistant principal Tracy Sutherland says students are also learning about healthy eating and other nutritional tips.
